Sterilization procedure
- Soiled, dirty instruments are cleaned in running water and instrument washing liquid
- Washed instruments are placed in a chemical disinfectant
- Chemically disinfected instruments are washed in sterile water and dried
- Dried instruments are packed in individual sterilization pouches and sealed
- Pouched and sealed instruments are sterilized using CLASS B autoclave
- Pouched, sealed and autoclaved instruments are stored for future use
